We recently said at the Holiday Inn Express in Prattville, AL between the Dates of December 20th through the 24th. This was a family vacation.
We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express many times. This was the worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed in. When we entered the room, the floors were dirty and there was hair in the tub. We later found *** on the floor near the toilet.
In addition, we needed the pullout bed in our room. There were no sheets and blankets provided. When we went to ask for sheets and blankets, the person at the desk would only provide sheets. The women stated that there were no blankets in the entire hotel available.
We ended up having to go out and buy our own blankets for our son to sleep on the pullout bed.
We had paid for the four night stay with points and cash. The hotel has refused to reimburse the entire amount, only willing to provide two nights of points after the deplorable conditions.
We do not feel the hotel has adequately addressed this situation. We would not recommend this hotel.

My name is Cynthia Bergeron.
I'm a housekeeper at Holiday Inn Express.
My supervisor is Ms. Amanda .During my training, I had helped a customer bring his bags into the lobby of the hotel.
The same customer, the next morning, upon realizing I was his housekeeper, came to me in the hall way telling me he was going to leave me a tip .
Ms. Amanda doesn't allow us housekeepers into an occupied room until she has went in first. When the supervisor came out of the room. I went in...no tip.
So I hurriedly went to talk to thee supervisor.
She started screaming at me .
It embarrassed me terribly.
After talking to the other housekeepers. I found out noone gets their tips.
The supervisor gets them .
But everyday after this incident, I was written up.
One day I had no towels to put put in my 19 rooms to clean, the was reported.
Then today I was met at my vehicle in the parking lot of hotel and was told I wouldn't be put on schedule until I talk to LUCY. Well for three days my calls were ignored.
I live from pay check to pay check.
Today I got a disconnect notice for my utilities, waiting to be put on schedule.
Tell me what I've done wrong.
Why are you being prejudice against me.
Because I've messed up you little hustle stealing from the other employees?
You all should be ashamed.

NoThis particular location with the front desk staff is very rude. They were very racist and discrimination and they illegally remove money out of my account and they refuse to release my incidentals when nothing was broken that incidental money they took they are still holding it and they took $800 out of my account and ruined my account illegally and said it was an accident Before they Denied at first, but then told the truth when I was very adamant about it I should be very well compensated for this the stay, was very unsatisfactory.
They were very unkind to my family and me and spoke to me as if they were related me and belittle me now I am missing money and they refuse to assist me. They continue to hang up on me and put me on hold this is been going on since 1 January, please check the dates and look now

I booked a room thru booking.com.well I paid on line and I go to check at the office there was a problem. Well I got that problem fixed then the person that was working all of a sudden started getting an attitude.She goes and tells me that it requires a 50.00 security deposit that needs to be on a card.
So let me remind you I just used my same card to book room and day before used my card with you guys no problem she said she couldn't use my card with you guys Holiday Inn Express. I reminded her I paid for the room wid same card long with the room I have gotten the night before at another location with no issues so she said that was last night not today with a unprofessional attitude. So i said that's the only card I had on me can I do cash she said no and just walked away from me. So I leave ask my friend to go in and ask for her name and a refund.she refuses to give refund and would not give her her name so my friend goes and gets a piece of paper the employee goes to grab my friend and takes paper from her hand and called her a red neck *** This is the location Charlotte/ Mathews property off independence point parkway.
I believe the time was 6:30 pm 2/13/24 .
Now it bothers me that the company will hire individuals that will go and try to grab guest and call them names. I never got my money back and I feel there should be something done for such rude , unprofessional, behavior.

Verified ReviewerPersonally I'm upset I called 4 times before confirming my room about pool and hot tub because that's whatr and husband really needed nsd
We live 30 mins from hotel and my husband and I never have a over night together to relax and try to have a romantic over night and it took us 2 years just to plan this and I asked in a week 4 times even the night before I came and said is hot tub and pool gonna be heated and working and they said absolutely yes I got the room comped but that isn't the point we planned and expected our romantic plans for 2 days and didn't get any of that and I think we deserve to have a night with what we asked for and didn't get from holiday inn express and until this happens from yalls corporation I will not be happy or over this whole disappointing trip it took me 2 years just to have husband take a day and night off so hopefully y'all will make a Tues check in available with them 2 things working and check out on a wed afternoon and complimentary on y'all then I will be more than happy to refer ally co workers and friend hope y'all understand how important that was supposed to be and meant to me to make it up to us my number is 813-526-**** thank you

Holliday Inn Express in Woodmead (Sandton Johannesburg) in South Africa.
Late December 2023 i called for a booking as per norm when work needs me. A lady picked up a call and i asked to book however she gave me a rate above than i normaly get.
When i ask her to check my previous rate,that when *** broke loss and she told me how she does care and mot me telling her how to do her job. My sin was to ask her to check my previous rate that's all.
This morning 17/02/2024 when i checked out,she came to me and said" my name is Blodie" and she started going and giving me attitude all over again almost two months later. This came as a worry to me,i was offended and attacked by tour staff member exercising her power over me yet i am a loyal customer that books every weeknd there.
I'm scared to go back and book there again, as i don't know what she will do in my room during my absents.
That member(Blondie) is a bad example for your brand, and i can assure you that you lost a customer in me because of her.

Our reservations were made in advance making sure it was noted we had a service pet and all necessary documentation. We drove five hours to the Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Naples, FL and tried to check in early evening on 1/4/24 and the very unprofessional manager who was called by the front desk person spoke to me from across the room while leaning on the desk and informed me that Florida law does not recognize ESA pets and we could not stay there.
Two messages via phone were left for the General Manager, to date no calls have been returned.
I questioned the manager full well knowing the law and he said it has been that way for 6 years. After being discriminated against and turned away we were left to find a room elsewhere.
Preferred solution: Disciplinary action and further education for the night manager on duty.
User's recommendation: I do not recommend this hotel, their staff is in need of professional training and familiarity with the LAWS

Dec. 26-27th stayed in Holiday Inn Express 4909 N.
Union, Shawnee, OK 74804: Upon arrival the front automatic door kept opening an closing non stop. We were informed upon check in that the elevator was not working. Couple age 85 & 78, wife with recent knee replacement surgery an husband with very bad back so were unable to climb stairs carrying luggage. It took some time to get room on 1st floor, making for a long check in line of people waiting while arrangments were made.
We were told the room was closer to the back entry so we drove to the back. Key cards would not unlock the back door, luckly after a few minutes a customer using the stairs let us in. Our room was in the middle of the building!!! Key cards would not open room door so that took another trip to the front counter to get them reset.
It still took several attempts to get them to work. (Front desk attendent admitted it might take several attempts!)

Went out for dinner an returned to enter through automatic doors (still opening an closing constantly), again our door keys would not work, back to the front to reset.
The beds were wonderful an our night was comfortable. Next morning I discovered why the bed was so warm, it was against the heater making warm air blow up under the sheets. Nice if you like a warm bed but that was a bit much.
Nice bathroom but the tub/shower is dangerous! Nothing for anyone, especially elderly person to hold on to in shower. We all need a slight grasp when turning in the shower.
Coffee maker did not work. Had it replaced an next morning when I made coffee it ran out twice what I put in.
Not knowing what liquid was in the pot I dumped it all an did not use it again!
We were told the person who ownes the franchise had not been keeping the hotel up an they were getting a lot of complaints.
Thought Corprate should know the poor quality of this particular hotel. We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express across the nation and this was the one giving it a bad example.

I am writing this here because I did not see a place for positive. I checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Ada, Oklahoma on 1-31-24.
From the time I walked in the entrance I felt welcomed. The staff has been incredible. I was assigned my room, handed the key and went on my way. I looked out the window only to be staring at a cement slab (don't get me wrong I do realize there has to be rooms with poor views).
I went to the front desk, asked if it would be possible to give me a room on the opposite side, facing the city lights. I was met with understanding. The new room was not completed with cleaning. I went on with my evening plans.
Upon return I was met with a staff that knew I would be coming for my room key.
Once I was in my room, I went straight to the window and was thrilled to see all the lights.
Thank you Ada, Oklahoma Holiday Inn for making my trip.

Your story cannot be true. For NO maid to not get tips, the supervisor would have to work every day and go in every occupied room that was to be cleaned.
If you helped with his bags, he should have tipped you at that time. This post is almost exact to one about four days ago.
As I said then I don’t believe patrons “promise” a tip in passing conversation. And why weren’t you tipped for helping with bags at that time? There are too many rooms and too many maids for the supervisor to beat the maid to the room. Much less hold up cleaning the room.
Maids would have to not be put on the schedule till noon since checkout is 11am. The supervisor doesn’t work every day.
So your all maids never get tips isn’t plausible. You need to work on your “story” and examine your motives.
